SPANISH SCHOOL BASED CLINICIAN Pay:
$33.00-$46.00/hour Schedule/Location:
Per Diem, Part Time, Full Time, In-Person About the Role: Arbour Counseling Services offers Per Diem, Part Time, and Full Time Fee-for-Service School Based opportunities for Spanish-speaking Licensed Clinicians or Masters Level Clinicians working toward licensure in Allston, MA. School Based Clinicians deliver mental health services to children in elementary, middle, and high schools who present with trauma, anxiety, depression, and related needs. Clinicians collaborate with school personnel, outside treatment providers, and families to provide a quality continuum of care. This role suits those seeking a flexible schedule or supplementary income. The position involves working in one of our schools across Boston for at least 12 hours per week (2 school days) up to 32 hours per week (5 school days). Summer work is optional (home-based and/or telehealth) if interested and the school calendar is followed. Assess clients or families’ needs and eligibility for services Provide individual, family and group therapy sessions as appropriate for assigned client needs Collaborate with clients’ family, school, other medical service providers, state agencies, and community resources Provide case management, referrals, and treatment planning for assigned clients Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the agency, community and referral sources Qualifications
Spanish speaking Master’s Degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or closely related Mental Health field from an accredited college or university License eligible preferred (LICSW/LMHC/LMFT) Need to have completed an Internship during Masters Program to obtain 45 credits CANS Certification preferred (also able to obtain after hiring if needed) Nonjudgmental ability to foster self-sufficiency using problem-solving and practical skills Ability to establish trusting relationships through compassion, empathy and insight Demonstrated sensitivity to the needs of clients from diverse cultural or linguistic backgrounds Excellent time management skills to maintain appointments and timely record keeping Candidate must possess appropriate citizenship work documentation Candidate must pass a CORI and drug test, as well as other pre-employment documentation About Universal Health Services
