Program Coordinator - Civil and Environmental Engineering Job Summary

Coordinates and administers the operational and financial activities associated with an academic/student program, project, service, or function to include Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) programs, Construction Training Qualification Program (CTQP) & Maintenance of Traffic (MOT) program, and FE Seminar program for external students. Demonstrates broad decision-making authority, judgment, and independence, and originates new concepts or approaches. Responsibilities

Coordinate and administer the operational and financial activities related to CEE programs, including graduate and undergraduate programs, and related projects, services, and utilities. Coordinate and administer the CTQP/MOT program and the FE Seminar Review Course for external students. Develop, schedule, and implement new and ongoing academic/student programs or services. Oversee and facilitate specific activities/tasks/assignments for the department or business unit. Support instruction/training through curriculum development, evaluating quality and methods of instruction, researching, and recommending new programs and revisions as necessary. Establish and maintain academic standards and degree requirements, accreditation matters as necessary. Assist with course scheduling, space allocation, program marketing, and recruitment as required. Coordinate all logistical matters related to projects including planning, initiation, coordination, implementation, and evaluation. Monitor project status, analyze program data, develop reports, and oversee activities. Ensure compliance with FIU policies, procedures, practices and programs, and with federal, state, and local standards. Monitor accounts/expenditures, reconcile statements, and advise management on budgetary needs or discrepancies. Generate income as needed. Serve as backup for the Department Program Coordinator as needed. Coordinate/prep strategic plans in support of the program or service. Act as liaison between program participants and the university community. Evaluate the CTQP program and analyze data for quality improvement initiatives. Serve as the University’s credit card user for departmental transactions and maintain records according to policy; provide details for reconciliation, budgeting, and reporting. Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of office or related experience. Desired Qualifications
