Primary Purpose

Responsible for identifying, negotiating, and securing natural gas supply that support the operational and strategic goals of the Texas Intrastate group. This role is critical in ensuring the reliable and profitable flow of gas through Kinder Morgan’s Midstream assets by aligning supply transactions with marketing commitments.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Account Management & Relationship Development:

Manage a portfolio of natural gas producers to foster long-term, mutually beneficial relationships Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned producers, ensuring consistent, transparent communication regarding operational updates, contract performance, nomination schedules, and commercial opportunities Act as a liaison between internal teams and external stakeholders to facilitate timely issue resolutions Identify and pursue new supply opportunities to expand Kinder Morgan’s Midstream footprint Manage monthly gas supply nominations and coordinate with scheduling team Verify producer payments and resolve discrepancies in coordination with accounting

Contract Negotiation & Execution

Understand and negotiate contractual terms for various types of agreements including NAESBs, Transaction Confirmations, Interconnect Agreements, Transportation/Storage Agreements and Gathering Agreements Coordinate customer service response with functional peers (Gas Contracts and Legal) for assigned producers Ensure contracts are structured to meet both operational needs and financial targets

Reporting & Analysis

Track and analyze Weighted Average Cost of Gas (WACOG) across the supply portfolio to ensure accuracy and support financial planning Prepare ad hoc reports and presentations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams Maintain accurate records of contract terms, volume and customer contact information Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and regional drilling forecasts Understand market dynamics relative to customer requirements Job level will be commensurate with experience and skills of successful candidate.

Position Requirements

Minimum Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Business Administration, Marketing, Accounting, Finance, Engineering or closely related discipline.

Experience & Specific Knowledge

5+ years of natural gas industry experience; commercial experience a valuable plus Knowledge of Kinder Morgan Midstream assets and other intrastate pipeline systems Working knowledge of gas processing, treating and compression operations Knowledge of supply basins, regional production trends and basis differentials, with a focus on Texas markets Understanding of project economics, including IRR and NPV analysis to support investment decisions Experience interfacing with cross-functional teams such as Project Management, Operations, Gas Control, Accounting, Legal, Contract Administration, Scheduling and Business Development

Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills Must be a self-starter and able to manage multiple tasks at one time Comfortable working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment with a strong focus on commercial performance and strategic growth Ability to work as a team, take direction from supervisor(s), focus attention to detail, follow work rules, and adhere to required work schedules Intermediate to advanced proficiency level with Microsoft Office applications, including but not limited to Outlook, Word, PowerPoint and Excel for the purpose of word processing, presentations, spreadsheets and analysis, and financial modeling Must be able to clearly present ideas, proposals and results to business segment leaders and customers

Working Conditions

Mostly office work; hybrid work schedule Extended work hours in cases of deadlines or extreme weather events Travel may be required to effectively support customer and industry relations
