Hull Piping Lead Engineer

Responsibilities include:
Preparing project planning documents such as work scopes, responsible matrix, manhours, and interface matrix.
Creating and maintaining the Master Document List (MDL) for piping design work scopes aligned with the Master Project Schedule.
Coordinating with stakeholders to align piping design input data and forecast dates.
Monitoring project budget related to piping, including manhours, software, and material costs.
Leading piping engineers and designers, or overseeing work by external design houses.
Reviewing and monitoring engineering progress and design quality.
Managing technical queries, variation orders, and ensuring design outputs meet construction requirements.
Ensuring compliance with department workflows, contract specifications, and regulatory standards.
Monitoring design revisions, clash detections, interface points, procurement status, and document revisions.
Coordinating between piping stress analysis, construction, QA/QC, and other disciplines.
Providing support during construction, inspections, and testing activities.
Job requirements include:
Minimum 8 years of piping engineering experience, preferably in offshore, shipyard, FPSO, or related projects.
Knowledge of piping design standards (ASME, ASTM, API) and classification society rules.
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Proficiency in Excel, AutoCAD, Navisworks, and piping modeling software such as Smart Plant, Aveva, or Cadmatic.
