Responsibilities
In a dynamic environment, responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
Perform analysis and design of bridges and building structures, including vehicle and pedestrian bridges and low to mid-rise buildings.
Prepare analysis models, organize calculations, interpret design codes, and produce construction drawings with markup.
Collaborate with CAD Technicians familiar with current structural CAD standards.
Visit project sites to observe construction and provide engineering solutions for various site and existing conditions.
Coordinate with CSA Bridge Engineers, Architects, and other engineering disciplines.
Requirements
Essential Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering; Master’s in Structural Engineering from an accredited institution (ABET).
5-10 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically in bridge design.
Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Puerto Rico.
Experience with structural engineering in Puerto Rico.
Strong background in designing concrete, steel, and wood structures.
Knowledge of aluminum and FRP structural design.
Proficiency in analysis and design software such as Etabs, SAP2000, AutoCAD, REVIT, CSIBridge, SAFE, Enercalc, BlueBeam, and Microsoft Office tools.
Willingness to travel occasionally for site visits and meetings in Puerto Rico.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.
