Be empowered to meet the customer where they are and personalize their experience; elevate in-store experience by modeling Customer Experience Leader (CEL) behaviors and coaching associates to achieve store goals and KPI. Respond to customer and associate requests or feedback with urgency. Maintain DSW store standards to ensure a positive customer experience. Complete daily open/close tasks including cleaning, recovery, and maintenance. Partner with the Store Manager to create long-term strategic plans and communicate action plans to the leadership team to ensure tasks are completed. Improve metric-based goals by reviewing and communicating daily/weekly/monthly progress and market trends to the Store Manager/Market Leader. Increase sales by leveraging inventory reports to maximize productivity and merchandise presentations on the sales floor. Oversee audits, donations, transfers, mismates, damages, and related processes; ensure policy and procedures are followed. Set clear expectations for inventory activities (freight receipt, product placement, markdowns, MOOS) and omni-store activities (Charge/Send, Buy Online Pick Up In Store). Ensure a safe environment for customers and associates; maintain equipment in good operating condition and escalate concerns to the Store Manager when needed. Assist with associate timekeeping, scheduling, forecasting, payroll management, and performance reviews; support Store Manager in resolving associate relations matters. Assist in recruiting, interviewing, and onboarding Store Supervisor, Store Lead, and Store Associate candidates; delegate and perform other store duties as needed. Contribute to training, coaching, and development of the store team; recognize team achievements using company tools. Qualifications
Minimum 2 years of management experience; high school graduate or equivalent (some college preferred). Excellent customer service, professional demeanor, and positive mindset. Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to build collaborative relationships. Ability to move with tempo and hold the team accountable to meet time-bound expectations. Availability to meet business needs including nights, weekends, holidays, and non-traditional hours. Proficiency with technology used for customer interactions (registers, devices); ability to stand up to 100% of the time; ability to lift up to 50 pounds; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl as needed.
