We are looking for a proactive, independent Civil Structural Engineer/Project Manager to support engineering projects with our utility clients.

Responsibilities

Manage site planning, site constraint analysis, and other planning support

Perform preliminary and final engineering including roadways, grading, sewer, and storm drain improvements

Provide preliminary Civil Engineering designs for environmental permits

Experience presenting technical engineering topics to non-engineering disciplines

Perform field investigations, inspections, or monitoring of substations and switching stations

Submit engineering drawings for permitting, follow up on City permitting / approvals

Work closely with construction inspectors and construction personnel throughout construction duration to ensure completion of designed facilities.

Perform constructability reviews

Responsible for leading technical scope, schedule, financial management, and Contract Term/ Conditions

Qualifications

Bachelor’s Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.

PE is a plus (not required)

3+ years of experience in Engineering

3+ years in experience in Construction / Project Management

Experience in developing site plans, grading and drainage plans

Experience applying codes and standards to various aspects of substation design, grading and drainage, roadways, civil/structural accommodation of equipment loads, substation layout, dead end structure design, environmental design criteria, environmental design considerations

Experience with watershed protection, storm water management, and discharge control ordinance

Demonstrated experience with establishing and following processes and procedures, as needed

Experience managing a variety of projects

Experience with design optimization, value engineering; cost reductions, erosion control, and slope protection

Experience providing recommendations on land lock access sites

Experience with risk management and QA/QC techniques
