Qualifications
High School Diploma - experience preferred Ability to deal with interruptions Ability to multi-task – flexibility Effective communication skills: written, oral, telephone, interpersonal Computer skills Ability to work with students and meet their specific needs: emotional, social, academic, physical Ability to work with teachers and staff Ability to maintain confidentiality Ability to supervise students using good judgment and school guidelines Ability to observe, assess, and problem-solve Ability to work independently Ability to work as a team member Maintain a pleasant, positive child/client-centered attitude Maintain a secure environment Essential Job Functions
Work with students on subject matter Recess/Lunch – Classroom Coverage Prepare learning materials and centers (primary) Clerical – record scores, etc. Work with, assist, observe, redirect students Re-teaching – academic support Organizing Teaching social behavior Assisting child with difficult time Regular and consistent attendance Other duties as assigned by supervisor Clearances Required for Employment:
Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance (Act 151) Pennsylvania State Criminal Record Check (Act 34) Federal Criminal History Record Check (Act 114) Act 168 Sexual Misconduct/Abuse Disclosure Release:
