Food Service Manager

— Unionville High School 10-month position • 8 hours per day x 185 days per year • Salary $26.00/hour • Benefits Eligible • Available Immediately • Job Posting Open until Filled Responsibilities

Production of entire meal service to include breakfast and lunch preparation, a la carte items for students and staff, using a thorough working knowledge of the National School Lunch Proper use of all kitchen equipment and accurate completion of required production records Order food and supplies according to the schedule set by the Food Service Director. Proper storage and handling of food and supplies according to the health department and federal commodity guidelines. Accept deliveries and submit invoices to the foodservice office. Record inventory as needed Supervise and work hand in hand with staff, completing tasks using a team approach. Complete payroll sheets accurately and be accountable for staff work. Complete staff evaluations as needed Operate the POS system, including cashiering, prepayments, student account reconciliation, end-of-day reports, and production records. Complete and verify daily deposit to the bank. Answer parent questions regarding the foodservice operation Attend seminars and workshops for professional growth and to keep Food Handler Certification current. Be able to attend meetings/training sessions after hours and in the summer if necessary Communicate with parents and staff regarding the foodservice operation Assist in other areas as needed by the Food Service Coordinator or Food Service This position description does not express or imply that these are the only duties to be performed by the incumbent(s) in this position. To successfully perform this position, a person must be able to perform each primary duty satisfactorily. The qualification requirements listed below represent minimum levels of educational achievement, training, skills, and/or ability necessary. Read, write, and speak English Food Handler or ServSafe certification required Working knowledge of kitchen equipment and production Working knowledge of computer applications to include POS operation and reporting, production records, email, online ordering systems, HACCP recording Accuracy when dealing with money and reconciling numbers and records; ability to stand for 5-6 hours Able to lift 50 lbs. Excellent leadership and customer service skills Flexibility and dependability Must successfully complete and maintain compliance with all federal and state background and criminal record check requirements Candidate must adhere to all local, state, federal, and school code requirements for employment Clearances and Equal Opportunity
