Overview
Lead AI UX/UI Designer - (Hybrid) at GEICO. GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer-obsessed, and results-oriented Lead AI UX/UI Designer who will design user experiences and UIs that leverage generative AI platforms. You will collaborate with business owners, engineers, data scientists and product management to lead design programs across research, requirements, user workflows, interface design and usability studies.
Role focus:
Design solutions that responsibly incorporate generative AI into user experiences and address business goals. Lead and mentor other designers and work with product management to align priorities and engineering backlogs. Stay informed about the AI landscape to advance UX and UI design. Be part of a multi-disciplinary design and research team that values people, human-centered design and a growth mindset. This position is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence 3 days a week at one of the listed locations.
Responsibilities
Collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs Translates complex ideas into understandable concepts and solutions that evolve and enhance the product experience Understands and navigates ML, AI and Generative AI to establish scalable frameworks that advance UX and UI design Advocates for a responsible and ethical approach to AI in our product and services Manage through shifting priorities to provide direction on product prioritization and support early product definition Advocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing Facilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications Delivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering Teaches, mentors and guides designers
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience with User Experience design 3+ years of experience with agentic, virtual agent or similar products
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for cross-channel e.g. responsive web and native mobile interfaces Experience working collaboratively with AI/ML and Data Science teams Experience working with multi-modal Generative AI platforms Demonstrate ability to work across design processes (user research, UX design, UI design and specifications) Experience leading project teams of multiple designers within agile development environments Solid knowledge of ML, AI and Generative AI systems and capabilities Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams Effective communication and storytelling skills Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) Familiarity with working in an established design system within agile development teams
Salary and Benefits
Annual Salary $130,175.00 - $212,175.00 The above annual salary range is a general guideline. Factors include scope and responsibilities, candidate’s work experience, education and training, work location, and market considerations.
