Overview
GEICO is looking for an accomplished, customer obsessed, and results oriented Lead AI UX/UI Designer. The ideal candidate will bring experience designing user experiences and UI that leverage generative AI platforms. They will collaborate with business owners, engineers, data scientists and product management to lead design programs across research, requirements, user workflows, interface design and usability studies. This position is a hybrid role that requires on-site presence 3 days a week at one of the following locations: Chevy Chase, MD; Chicago, IL; Palo Alto, CA; Fredericksburg, VA; Seattle, WA; Manhattan, NYC. Base pay range: $130,175.00/yr - $212,175.00/yr. The above salary range is a general guideline and may be influenced by factors such as scope, responsibilities, experience, education, work location and market considerations. Collaborates with product, engineering, and business teams to uncover customer and business needs Translates complex ideas into understandable concepts and solutions that evolve and enhance the product experience Understands and navigates the emerging fields of ML, AI and Generative AI to establish scalable frameworks that advance the practice of UX and UI design Advocates for a responsible and ethical approach to AI in our product and services Manages shifting priorities to provide clear direction and input on product prioritization and early product definition Advocates for the customer through human-centered design methods, including discovery, research, and user testing Facilitates and participates in workshops with internal and external stakeholders to align with business needs Creates process and user flows, wireframes, journey maps, and user interface specifications Delivers design assets for acceptance, development, and delivery to market in partnership with engineering Teaches, mentors and guides designers Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
8+ years of experience with User Experience design 3+ years of experience with agentic, virtual agent or similar products Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing for cross-channel e.g. responsive web and native mobile interfaces Experience working collaboratively with AI/ML and Data Science teams Experience working with multi-modal Generative AI platforms Demonstrate ability to work across design processes e.g. user research, user experience design, UI design and specifications Experience leading project teams of multiple designers within agile development environments Solid knowledge of ML, AI and Generative AI systems and capabilities Ability to collaborate with Product Management, Engineering and Operations teams Effective communication and storytelling skills Ability to work autonomously with minimal direction Proficiency with design tools (e.g., Figma) to deliver concepts and enable collaboration Familiarity with working in an established design system within agile development teams Annual Salary
