Overview
Functioning as the subject matter expert for the agency's early childhood learning, the Director ensures the Policy Council, Board of Directors, management and program employees are in compliance with the Office of Head Start, Department of Children and Families and other regulatory agencies. The Director ensures that the program is fully enrolled per grant requirements and provides strategic vision for the early learning program to enhance kindergarten readiness and family engagement. The Director oversees the program's budget and fiscal processes including non-federal share match requirements. The Director also ensures that the Program meets the needs of parents in providing a quality learning experience and meeting parent goals. The Director will take a thoughtful, proactive and collaborative approach to ensure management functions are properly carried out. Responsibilities
Ensure compliance with the Office of Head Start, Department of Children and Families and other regulatory agencies by communicating with and guiding the Policy Council, Board of Directors, management and program staff. Ensure that the program is fully enrolled per grant requirements and provide strategic vision for the early learning program to enhance kindergarten readiness and family engagement. Oversee the program's budget and fiscal processes including non-federal share match requirements. Ensure that the program meets the needs of parents by providing a quality learning experience and meeting parent goals. Take a thoughtful, proactive and collaborative approach to ensure management functions are properly carried out. Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in a relevant human resource program, or early childhood education and experience in supervision of staff, fiscal management, and administration is required. An advanced degree in Early Childhood Education or Management is preferred. Five or more years of recent experience in a management role involving program oversight, fiscal management, facilities management, and administration.
