Personnel Coordinator/Director
and play a pivotal role in building diverse, exceptional teams that support learning at every level—from K-12 students to adult learners throughout our region! Why This Role Matters As our Personnel Coordinator/Director, you'll be the strategic bridge connecting talented professionals across diverse fields with opportunities that enhance learning at every level. You'll oversee comprehensive human resources operations while building the complex, multifaceted teams that power educational excellence throughout our region. What You'll Do Lead & Inspire : Supervise our dedicated Personnel Assistant team and drive HR excellence across all operations Strategic Partnership : Collaborate directly with district leadership, serving as the key liaison between our Personnel Department, BOCES staff, and component school districts Talent Acquisition : Play a critical role in recruitment, interviewing, and selection processes to identify exceptional professionals across diverse fields—from educators and administrators to professional development specialists, health and safety experts, technology professionals, records management specialists, and support staff who collectively impact K-12 students, adult learners, and entire school communities Innovation & Growth : Identify and implement technology solutions and process improvements that enhance our operational efficiency Compliance & Excellence : Navigate complex state regulations, certification requirements, and collective bargaining agreements while ensuring seamless personnel administration Data-Driven Decisions : Prepare comprehensive reports and financial projections that support contract negotiations and strategic planning What We're Looking For Ideal candidates will have: Master's degree
in Business, Education, Human Resources, or related field + 1 year of personnel/HR experience with specialized training OR Bachelor's degree
in related field + 2 years of relevant experience OR Bachelor's degree
+ 3 years of progressive HR experience OR NYS certified school district leader
with relevant experience You'll thrive in this role if you have: Educational Experience : Background in educational settings with understanding of hiring across diverse professional areas—from civil service and certificated teaching staff to specialized professionals in technology, health/safety, professional development, and support services Leadership Skills : Proven supervisory experience with ability to motivate and develop team members Regulatory Knowledge : Familiarity with NYS teaching certification requirements and processes Negotiation Savvy : Understanding of collective bargaining agreements and labor relations Tech-Forward Mindset : Enthusiasm for leveraging technology to improve HR processes Detail-Oriented : Strong analytical skills with ability to manage complex data and reporting requirements Competitive salary and comprehensive benefits package
