As a Public Affairs Manager for Europe, you’ll be instrumental in shaping urban mobility by developing and implementing public affairs strategies. This role involves influencing policy at the municipality level across cities in Europe, strategically managing agencies, and empowering Arrive's teams to engage effectively with policymakers. The European portfolio is shared between two Public Affairs Managers, and you’ll work closely with your counterpart to ensure full coverage across the region. While the specific division of responsibilities will evolve, together you’ll contribute to a global vision, collaborating with international colleagues to set the public affairs strategy. Your impact will be profound as you translate Arrive's commitment to smarter urban mobility into tangible policy outcomes. By influencing decision-makers, promoting innovative solutions, and fostering business growth, you’ll directly contribute to advancing Arrive's mission to make cities more livable. Develop and implement public affairs strategies that influence policies and introduce innovative solutions to improve urban living. Dissect intricate policy details and evaluate their far-reaching implications, and have an appetite to learn the European legislative and regulatory landscape. Provide strategic management of public affairs agencies, overseeing and coordinating activities in Europe, ensuring alignment with Arrive's business strategy and priority objectives. Create conditions for European teams to succeed in their engagement with policymakers, think tanks, third-party organizations, and opinion leaders. Jointly lead the strategy for public affairs in Europe, and on occasion provide expertise and support to colleagues in other international markets. Your background

6-10 years of public affairs experience in a fast-paced tech, transport, smart cities initiative, or digital payments environment. Working knowledge of the complexities of municipal governments. Strong network and hands-on experience engaging with policymakers in Europe, with a demonstrable ability to influence policy change, delivering global or European strategies. Proven track record of successfully managing and leading lobbyists and public affairs agencies to develop and execute strategies, ensuring alignment with business objectives and goals. Ability to translate complex regulatory issues into clear, compelling narratives to policymakers and business leaders. A self-starter with a strategic, intrapreneurial mindset. Excellent verbal and written communication in English, fluency in another European language is a nice-to-have. You’ll really stand out if

You have previous policy change experience and demonstrated experience in a transportation nonprofit policy team or automotive policy team. You’re an established thought leader in the mobility or urban policy space. You have proven success in building public-private partnerships with cities, NGOs, or industry coalitions. You bring a multimarket perspective, with experience navigating global companies or working across international teams. Location

This is a hybrid role and can be based in one of our offices in France (Paris), Belgium (Brussels) or UK (London or Basingstoke). About Arrive
