Position Location:
Central Valley, Inland Empire, Sierra Nevada
Work Schedule:
Hybrid schedule – in person at least once every four weeks
EnviroVoters Education Fund and EnviroVoters are launching a search for Youth Ambassadors to join our team to advance climate justice and environmental advocacy in the Central Valley, Inland Empire, and Sierra Nevada regions.
Responsibilities
Attend weekly meetings online to learn grassroots organizing skills, public speaking, advocacy, and complete administrative duties; collaborate with the cohort and meet at least once monthly in person with the regional cohort.
Coordinate with your cohort to plan the next phase of the WE CAN! campaign and push for youth climate boards in your region.
Develop and lead community initiatives and run grassroots campaigns to advance environmental solutions.
Plan and coordinate events (workshops, information sessions, volunteer recruitment, forums) to engage students and community members and recruit volunteers on clean air, clean water, and youth civic participation.
Expand awareness on climate, environmental policies, environmental justice, and related local issues through digital organizing and social media advocacy.
Increase youth civic participation through issue-based organizing and nonpartisan get-out-the-vote activities.
Meet with local elected officials and state legislators to advocate for sustainability, environmental justice, and youth involvement.
Attend two staff retreats across the three regions (Central Valley, Inland Empire, Sacramento) in fall and winter.
Other duties as assigned.

What Else You Should Know This is an outstanding opportunity for a highly motivated candidate to assume a pivotal role with this organization from September 2025 to June 2026. There are opportunities to extend the role into a two-year program following the conclusion of this term.
