Overview
PaceMate is seeking an Instructional Designer (full-time, remote) to develop engaging and effective educational programs and materials that enhance learning outcomes across various platforms and audiences. The Instructional Designer will support SMEs and stakeholders in timely creation of innovative instructional content tailored to diverse learning needs, with a focus on adult learning principles, strong communication, and collaborative learning.
Essential Functions
Collaborate with the Director, Learning and Development to implement a robust learning culture at PaceMate. Collaborate with SMEs to design and develop instructional materials and programs, applying best practices in instructional design, adult learning principles, and educational technology to enhance timely delivery of instructional materials (e-learning modules, instructor-led training, job aids), learner engagement and retention. Apply learning theories and instructional design models (e.g., ADDIE, SAM, Bloom’s Taxonomy). Collaborate with SMEs, educators, and other stakeholders to conduct needs assessments to analyze learning needs and define instructional goals and objectives. Collaborate with software developers and subject matter experts to create training assets to support the adaptation of new features or new versions of PaceMateLIVE in tandem with release dates. Develop scripts, storyboards, and multimedia content (video, audio, graphics). Ensure content is accurate, current, and aligned with business or learning objectives. Utilize authoring tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline, Rise, Adobe Captivate) and LMS platforms (e.g., PaceMate Learning Center). Test and troubleshoot content across various platforms and devices. Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., HR, IT, leadership) to align training with organizational goals. Collaborate with Education Specialists to enhance clinical employee expertise by creating or curating training assets to support ongoing improvement and maintenance of clinical skillset. Assist in curating existing product-related tools and resources into a cohesive set of accessible training assets. Manage multiple projects simultaneously; develop timelines, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery of education projects. Stay current with industry trends and best practices in learning and development and instructional design. Create assessments and evaluation tools to measure learning outcomes and the effectiveness of instructional programs. Act as an organizational advocate and ensure PaceMate’s Mission, Vision, and Customer Service standards are met. Adhere to the Code of Conduct and all Company Policies and Procedures. Education, Experience, And Core Competency Requirements
Undergraduate degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development or a related field (Master’s degree preferred), or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Demonstrated experience in instructional design. Proficiency in e-learning development tools (e.g., Articulate Storyline) and LMS platforms (e.g., Reach 360). Strong understanding of adult learning theories and instructional design methodologies. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and engage diverse audiences. Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment and manage multiple projects effectively. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail. Experience with graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite), experience building materials for training workflows in a healthcare company or experience with digital adoption platforms such as WalkMe or Pendo a strong plus. Thorough understanding of supporting a remote or virtual workforce preferred. Reporting Relationships
