Overview AXA XL is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Marketing Associate with an Event Focus to join our marketing team. This role will create impactful event experiences that drive engagement and strengthen AXA XL’s relationships with clients, brokers, prospects, and stakeholders across the Americas. The role involves planning and executing a variety of marketing initiatives with a strategic focus on events, including AXA XL-hosted events, broker/client councils, industry conferences, and national/regional sponsorships.

You will manage all aspects of event execution while collaborating with internal teams and external partners, such as the broader AXA XL communications, marketing, creative and digital teams, individual business units, and outside vendors. Bringing strategic insight and robust project management and organizational skills, you will analyze event performance and adapt plans to maximize value and lead generation.

Reporting to the Marketing Regional Director, Americas, you will work as part of a dedicated team to execute events and drive success across the Americas Business Unit. What you’ll be doing What will your essential responsibilities include?

Define responsibilities in this format.

Plan and execute large, multi-faceted events – including AXA XL-hosted programs, industry conferences, and national sponsorships.

Work in partnership with internal business partners (Underwriting and Client & Distribution Leaders) to deliver events and marketing campaigns that support and drive core business priorities.

Lead strategic direction – e.g., event themes, messaging, design, content, speakers, agenda, and attendee experience – aligned with core business objectives.

Leverage audience engagement as a key variable in event activation – by leveraging broader audience marketing engagement to influence event invitations, and by translating attendee in-event actions and behaviors into quantifiable prospects/leads in our CRM and ROI tracking.

Lead all aspects of event logistics and project management – including the following:

Overall project plan and timeline development

Budget preparation and reconciliation, including monitoring and enforcing cost benchmarks

Venue/site evaluation and selection; contract negotiation

Registration website content and functionality

Agenda/program development and speaker preparations

Attendee marketing, list development, and invitation schedules

Vendor negotiation and management, including production, rentals, décor, etc.

Event logistics (F&B orders, AV/production, room setup and event flow, timing, hotel room blocks, etc.)

Production of creative materials working in conjunction with Design (print and digital signage, branded items, giveaways, print materials).

On-site management of team and event, including the registration process

Post-event analysis, reporting, and surveys

What you’ll bring Required Skills and Abilities:

Extensive experience in event planning and marketing

Bachelor's degree in marketing, event management, communications, hospitality or related field

Demonstrated success managing events of various sizes and complexities, from conception to execution

Robust background in marketing & event management, with excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to communicate with all levels of employees as well as external clients and prospects in a large, complex, and matrixed environment

Highly organized, a passion for marketing and a desire to contribute

Flexibility for travel (~15-20% could be anywhere in the US)

Desired Skills and Abilities:

Proven experience integrating strategic business priorities into the event attendee experience

Robust organizational skills, attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and manage critical deadlines

Proficiency with event management software (Cvent) and marketing automation tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, Eloqua, Salesforce, SharePoint

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal stakeholders and external vendors

Experience on budget management

Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing project priorities, and adept at problem solving and proactively addressing challenges

Microsoft Office suite – MS Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint

The U.S. base salary range for this position is $73,800- $116,500 USD. Actual pay will be determined based upon the individual’s skills, experience and location. We strive for market alignment and internal equity with our colleagues’ pay.
