The Product Marketing team at BILL drives products to market and grows their impact on customers and the business. We represent the voice of the customer before, during, and after launch, articulate value, differentiate from the competition, and drive product adoption, retention, and advocacy. We work cross-functionally with Product, Growth Marketing, Support, Sales, Customer Success, Brand, Growth, Creative, Analytics, and Legal. You’ll be responsible for strategy and execution across the GTM lifecycle, with a focus on expanding BILL’s impact within the AC segment and unlocking SAM expansion opportunities in your owned areas. This role focuses on executing high-volume product and feature launches, building growth and retention strategies, using research to craft positioning and messaging, and coordinating multiple projects across teams. You’ll also shape how BILL serves accountant partnership customers and scale our solutions for them. Success is measured by business metrics and by your ability to engage and influence cross-functional stakeholders. What You’ll Do
Apply a data-driven approach to uncover insights, assess performance, and inform prioritization of SAM expansion opportunities, grounded in market evidence and customer needs. Execute key product and feature launches that drive adoption and retention in the accountant partnership. Partner with Product to shape roadmap decisions and recommend new features that unlock incremental growth. Craft and evolve customer-centric messaging that highlights BILL’s value for segments within AC and differentiates us in the market. Collaborate with Sales and CS to deliver enablement assets and plays that fuel adoption and expansion. Track and measure the effectiveness of launches and expansion initiatives, providing insights to refine future GTM strategy. What Makes You Successful In This Role
Excellent communication: you communicate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on high-profile projects, and you act as the “storyteller” for your product. Project management: you prioritize work on the most important projects/outcomes and drive multiple complex projects end-to-end, finding solutions when timelines are at risk. Effective collaboration: you work with cross-functional team members to solve obstacles and persuade and inform peers about your projects. GTM planning and execution: you collaborate on strategy, gain alignment, secure resources, and support flawless GTM executions. Customer champion: you know customer needs, journey, and mindset across segments and translate insights into messaging and SAM growth opportunities. Product expertise: you learn the product and understand how customers use it, influencing the roadmap and recommending features that drive SAM expansion. Flexibility and curiosity: you seek answers, ask why, adapt to plan changes, and share learnings with broader teams. Sales enabler: you work with Sales to provide assets and tools that drive adoption and expansion, updating materials as needed. We’d Love To Chat If You Have
3+ years of professional experience in a product marketing role or strong equivalent. Direct experience in B2B SaaS and/or fintech. Experience launching features/products and identifying market expansion opportunities. Strong presentation skills (a plus) including demos, webinars, and events. Experience executing strategic plans, including GTM launches or campaigns. Experience with data analytics and distilling insights from research data, customer interactions, and market feedback. Demonstrated success working cross-functionally, interacting with leadership, and influencing without authority. Analytical mindset with the ability to derive actionable insights linked to SAM expansion. Comfort navigating ambiguity and matrixed structures, with the agility to recalibrate strategies as needed. Adept at influencing and communicating with cross-functional teams. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The estimated salary range for this role is noted below for our San Jose based role. Our ranges are based on factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary.
