Summary Moffitt Speros Outpatient Center and the Richard M. Schulze Family Foundation Proton Center are set to open in January 2026. This state-of-the-art facility, located in Speros, Florida, will offer a comprehensive range of cancer care services, including screenings, diagnostic imaging, infusion services, and advanced radiation therapy. The Proton Center will house the cutting-edge ProteusONE proton therapy system, providing innovative treatment options that target cancer with unmatched precision while sparing healthy tissue.
The opening of these centers marks a significant milestone in Moffitt’s mission to expand access to world-class cancer care and research. By alleviating space constraints at existing campuses, the Speros facility will enable Moffitt to enhance patient care and dedicate more resources to groundbreaking cancer research. Together, these centers will provide patients and their families with a wide array of sophisticated services and comforting spaces, furthering Moffitt’s commitment to delivering hope and healing.

Job Summary: The Radiation Therapist Supervisor supervises the day-to-day functions and activities of the Radiation Therapy department staff including lead and staff therapists to ensure efficient and effective operations and quality patient care. The Radiation Therapist Supervisor may perform a variety of clinical procedures including, but not limited to, treatment delivery and simulation procedures. The Radiation Therapist Supervisor coordinates to ensure standards and policies are consistent across all locations. Education requirement: Associate degree in radiation therapy Licensure/Certification requirement: ARRT BLS RT (T) Preferred: ACLS Experience required: 5 years of previous experience as a lead therapist or therapy supervisor is required. Proton therapy experience is preferred. Essential functions: Oversees lead therapists and staff therapists, provides support and guidance for technical billing accuracy, responds to technical issues, ensures proper staffing levels to safely treat patients, maintains appropriate inventory supplies, triages patient phone calls, and provides faculty with information related to patient treatment. Supports the manager with team member evaluations and makes recommendations regarding performance issues, recruitment, and selection of new technical staff. Assists the manager with important technical communication and administrative support as needed. Serves as a role model and mentor to staff therapists.
