Summary:

The Department of Medicine at Roswell Park is seeking an Assistant to Full Professor of Breast Oncology. The primary clinical activities for this position involve attending in an outpatient breast clinic with inpatient responsibilities with an experienced team of advanced practice providers. Candidates will join a multidisciplinary and skilled team with breast surgery, breast radiation oncologists, breast pathologists and radiologists. There is additional opportunity for breast leadership, guidance of breast early phase clinical trials, and clinical research. Under the leadership of the new Chair of the Department of Medicine, Renier Brentjens, MD, PhD, candidates will have the opportunity to develop robust clinical, translational, and basic science research programs in a collaborative, state-of-the-art academic environment with close interaction with outstanding clinical, basic science and population science departments at the Center.

The successful candidate will coordinate patient care plans for breast patients requiring both SOC and protocol driven therapeutic interventions. The candidate will also have the opportunity to participate in the teaching and training of Hematology and Oncology fellows, residents, and medical students and additional mentorship.

License or Certification Requirement

Candidates must be board certified in Internal Medicine and board certified or eligible in Medical Oncology and be able to meet licensure requirements in New York State. Exceptional foreign medical graduates will be considered. Medical Doctor degree in the field of General Internal Medicine.
