At Central Market, we are committed to providing our customers with the freshest and most beautiful floral arrangements. We are seeking a passionate and creative Floral Manager to lead our floral department. The ideal candidate will have a green thumb and a flair for floral design, helping us create stunning displays that delight our customers. As a department leader, you will utilize your analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills to maximize sales and ensure an exceptional shopping experience. Responsibilities include: Making employment-related and business decisions using independent judgment, including product and department strategies, hiring, promoting, disciplining, and resolving Partner-related matters. Overseeing the entire department to ensure high-quality products and excellent customer service. Developing and leading a retail sales team to deliver top-tier customer service. Ensuring products are of optimal quality and in-stock conditions are maintained. Selling products for special events within the store and community. Collaborating with sales personnel to generate new business and maintain existing client relationships. Merchandising departments to maximize sales. Promoting services and products offered by Central Market to increase sales. Maintaining extensive product knowledge. Managing product ordering and inventory controls. Ensuring compliance with government and company regulations regarding product freshness, safety, refrigeration, and sanitation. Maintaining vendor relationships. Working to achieve department budgets aligned with store goals. Monitoring and managing product, labor, and expenses to meet budget requirements. Ensuring high standards of product quality and presentation. Collaborating with other department managers and the Chef team to deliver results. Conducting employment interviews, performance appraisals, and providing Partner feedback. Training and developing Partners. Writing departmental schedules. Providing exceptional customer service. Requirements include: Proven leadership experience in a catering environment. Ability to develop and deliver strategic recommendations. Passion for food and selling. Detail-oriented with proficiency in computer systems. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Valuing diversity and handling stressful situations effectively. Strong analytical, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to prioritize, delegate, and manage multiple tasks. Proven ability to develop and lead teams.
