The Staff Accountant will be responsible for supporting daily accounting operations to include engagement on integrated program teams, preparing journal entries and account reconciliations, and assisting with month-end and year-end close processes.
To learn more about what we are doing at Hendrick Motorsports Technical Solutions please visit:**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** **include the following:*** Collect, analyze, and summarize cost information for products, services, or projects and convert to suggested sales price.* Serve as accounting representative on integrated program teams.
Attend weekly meetings and provide deliverables to the Program Manager.* Prepare quotes and manage sales orders in the ERP system.* Monitor actual costs versus estimated costs, identifying variances and recommending corrective actions.* Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities including fixed asset management, balance sheet reconciliations, inventory variance analysis, project cost & revenue recognition and preparation of financial reports.* Collaborate with operations and production teams to review processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.* Conduct inventory analysis and physical inventory counts to ensure proper valuation and reconciliation.* Contribute to the continuous improvement and optimization of the ERP system.* Ensure compliance with internal controls, accounting standards, and company policies.* Prepare ad hoc reporting as requested.**Qualifications:*** Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.* 3+ years of experience in an accounting role at a manufacturing company or in combination with public accounting experience.* Ability to thrive with multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, proficient in ERP systems and financial reporting applications (D365 F&O, and Power BI a plus).* Experience interpreting technical drawings, BOMs, and familiarity with production and manufacturing processes and equipment desired.This job description in no way states or implies that these are the only duties and responsibilities to be performed by this employee.
