This opening is for a Lead Analyst within the Liquidity Program Governance team, focusing on the Derivatives product. The role involves driving cross-functional delivery of technical and operational solutions within the strategic liquidity reporting platform, utilizing data from approved strategic data repositories. The individual will work closely with the Derivative product lead on Liquidity Transformation, developing derivative rules and processes for the new reporting platform. The role demands a disciplined, process-oriented approach, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask in a dynamic environment. Responsibilities
Collaborate with partners across Finance, Operations & Technology (O&T), and Finance & Risk Infrastructure (FRI) to understand and improve reporting processes, and to design future state systems and processes. Partner with the Derivative product lead to manage the Liquidity Transformation project, driving key initiatives and milestones. Influence decisions and actions with stakeholders without direct managerial authority. Analyze data and system logic to identify issues, troubleshoot, and propose solutions. Work with Treasury GPO, Business, Corporate Treasury, Technology, and end users in Finance and Risk Shared Services to address pain points and develop beneficial solutions. Review liquidity regulatory requirements, decompose regulations into data elements, and support data gap analysis. Develop scalable data quality, systemic, and process solutions to meet current and future regulatory reporting needs. Ensure compliance with Citi-wide Key Initiative standards and deliver key project outputs on time. Create end-user documentation for training and support during new functionality rollouts. Develop a deep understanding of liquidity subject matter to contribute effectively to business requirements discussions. Qualifications
BS/BA required; MS/MBA preferred. 5+ years of experience in financial services or consultancy within the finance industry, with liquidity reporting experience a plus. Conceptual understanding of Derivative products, cash flows, and liquidity impacts for banks and financial institutions. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, capable of end-to-end analysis. Quick learner with the ability to grasp new concepts rapidly. Excellent communication skills for leading and participating in meetings and collaborating with stakeholders. Willingness to challenge existing processes for operational improvements. Strong understanding of financial systems, data flows, and data management concepts. Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and data analysis; Access is a plus. Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Project, including milestones and dependencies.
