DoE We are an active real estate acquisition and management company in New Jersey seeking a dedicated and experienced Controller/Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented professional who can handle the full accounting cycle for our diverse portfolio of properties. This role is crucial to our financial operations and requires a strong understanding of real estate accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. Key Responsibilities: Manage all accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger, and financial statement preparation. Perform comprehensive bank reconciliations on a regular basis. Conduct complex Common Area Maintenance (C.A.M.) reconciliations for commercial properties, ensuring accuracy and adherence to lease agreements. Manage tax and insurance reconciliations, verifying all payments and prorations are correct and in compliance with regulations. Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Proven experience in real estate accounting or property management. Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting. Proficiency with QuickBooks and Yardi.
