Monday through Thursday, 6:00 AM – 4:30 PM Report To Assembly Manager Location Tyngsboro, MA. USA General Summary The Metal Finishing Technician is responsible for grinding, polishing, and preparing metal components to meet high-quality and visual appearance standards. This role ensures that all parts are free of defects, properly finished, and ready for assembly or shipment. Ideal candidates are detail-oriented, dependable, and committed to consistent workmanship in a production environment. Key Responsibilities Metal Finishing & Polishing Grind, sand, clean, and polish metal parts to remove burrs, sharp edges, and surface defects. Operate tools such as belt sanders, hand grinders, polishers, and deburring equipment. Apply finishing techniques to meet specified surface texture and appearance requirements. Quality Inspect finished parts for conformance to workmanship and quality standards. Communicate surface finish concerns or part issues to team leads or managers. Collaborate with production and engineering teams to resolve finishing challenges. Safety & Workplace Organization Follow all company safety guidelines and PPE requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area. Perform routine checks and basic care of finishing equipment and tools. Qualifications

Required Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods. Fine motor skills and manual dexterity for precision finishing tasks. Preferred High school diploma or equivalent. 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or job shop environment. Familiarity with metal polishing, grinding, and deburring techniques. Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and reliability. Willingness to learn; training available for the right candidate. Physical Requirements

Ability to perform repetitive tasks with precision. Manual dexterity and fine motor skills for detailed finishing work. Capability to lift and handle materials up to 40 lbs.
