$32 - $35 an hour We have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll Specialist to join our client in Tigard, OR. As an ideal candidate, you should have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in construction payroll and possess strong Excel skills (pivot tables and VLOOKUPS). Responsibilities: Accurately process union payroll for a small-to-mid-sized construction company, ensuring compliance with collective bargaining agreements and prevailing wage laws. Maintain and verify the accuracy of all employee and payroll data within the payroll system. Safeguard sensitive employee information and uphold strict confidentiality standards. Respond to payroll-related inquiries and resolve discrepancies in a timely and professional manner. Support year-end payroll functions, including tax filings and reporting (e.g., W-2s, union reports). Assist the HR department with key functions such as recruiting, onboarding, benefits administration, and employee terminations. Collaborate with project managers and field staff to ensure smooth communication regarding timekeeping and labor reporting. Perform other related duties as needed to support the payroll and HR functions. Requirements: At least 3 years of experience in union and multi-state payroll processing, ideally within the construction industry. Strong understanding of union regulations, certified payroll, and compliance with local, state, and federal payroll laws. High attention to detail with a strong commitment to accuracy and timeliness. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team in a fast-paced environment. Benefits:
