Overview

Full Time, Monday-Friday. Hybrid position — office days will be in either Gainesville or Jacksonville, FL. The HR Specialist is responsible for providing support to operations for various human resources responsibilities including training, recruitment, hiring, onboarding, HR compliance and retention. The HR Specialist focuses on maintaining local compliance with state, federal, and BrightSpring Health requirements. The HR Specialist should have a full understanding of the recruitment cycle to provide support to operations and partner with each service site to develop and implement a recruitment and retention plan in partnership with Talent Acquisition. The HR Specialist provides recruitment strategies, ideas, and tools to operations to assist with hitting hiring goals. Responsibilities

Providing administrative support in the areas of employee recruitment, hiring, retention, and evaluation Processing, verifying, and maintaining documentation relating to personnel activities such as staffing, recruitment, training, grievances, performance evaluations, and classifications Processing and reviewing employment applications in the ATS to evaluate qualifications or eligibility of applicants Examining employee files to answer inquiries and provide information for personnel actions Requesting information from law enforcement officials, previous employers, and other references to determine applicants' employment acceptability Responding to requests from employees, managers and HR team and escalating issues as appropriate Providing support for employee onboarding as well as employee exit meetings Conducting orientation and training for administrative staff as needed Training HR Coordinators and Supervisors on progressive corrective action processes and ensuring fair and consistent implementation; consulting with Regional HR Manager on corrective actions, determining action levels, and documenting appropriately Assisting with data management and file maintenance, including day-to-day data entry and employee data maintenance in the HRIS Creation and processing of Personnel Action Forms (PAF) for the assigned service site Providing onboarding administrative support and arranging in-house and external training activities Ensuring compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and regulations Training HR team members Providing objective feedback and solution-focused recommendations in resolving conflicts and employee relations matters Maintaining knowledge of company policies and employment rules; interpreting policy for stakeholders Maintaining positive employee relations with staff and management Informing operations of workers’ compensation claims process; assisting with claim processing and keeping supervisors and management informed of open claims and return-to-work status Conducting workplace investigations, as needed Other duties as assigned Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required One year of experience in an administrative position Excellent customer service skills Knowledge or experience in an office setting with computers, phones, and related tasks Knowledge of labor standards, data entry, workers’ compensation reporting, OSHA reporting and Affirmative Action data integrity General knowledge of federal, state and local labor laws and regulatory compliance Professional and positive communication with employees, customers and all levels of management Experience using Microsoft Office Word, Excel, and PowerPoint Ability to solve problems independently and as part of a team Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Travel 25-50% or as needed About Our Line Of Business: Haven Hospice, an affiliate of BrightSpring Health Services, provides comprehensive hospice services focused on quality patient care in the home.
