Read further to learn how you could help make great things possible in your community and beyond. Join the growing Electrical business class in the Building Engineering Services (BES) group at HDR. BES offers industry-leading electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, structural, control systems, fire & life safety, and lighting design services for a variety of building projects, including public, municipal, private, and government sectors. Our projects balance local and regional work, supported by experienced staff specializing in Water/Wastewater, Data Centers, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities, delivering engineering excellence to our clients. As an Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Coordinating the electrical design team's work through schematic design and contract document phases. Participating in meetings and reviews with governing agencies for code compliance. Managing workload to meet project schedules. Conducting site work sessions with the Project Manager and other disciplines. Reviewing electrical documents for conflicts with other disciplines. Writing and editing electrical specifications and selecting equipment and systems. Collaborating with affected disciplines on addenda, RFIs, CPRs, change orders, and incorporating changes into project documents. Providing construction contract administration as needed. Performing QA/QC on work by other electrical team members. Performing additional duties as required. Preferred Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years' experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems). Experience with healthcare projects in architectural or engineering consulting is preferred. Experience with data centers in similar settings is preferred. Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is a plus. Local candidates are preferred. #LI-MV3 Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an electrical focus. Experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems). Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Microsoft Office, SKM, AGI, and Easy Power.
