Join the fast-growing Electrical business class within the Building Engineering Services (BES) group at HDR. BES offers industry-leading electrical, mechanical, plumbing, civil, structural, control systems, fire & life safety, and lighting design services for various building types, including public, municipal, private, and government projects. Our projects are both local and regional, supported by experienced staff specialized in sectors such as Water/Wastewater, Data Centers, Healthcare, and Industrial facilities, delivering engineering excellence to our clients. As a Senior Electrical Engineer, your responsibilities will include: Coordinating the work of Electrical Engineers within a multidisciplinary team throughout project development. Establishing client relations and participating in marketing, design, and production meetings related to electrical systems. Leading electrical aspects on multiple projects. Participating in reviews with governing agencies for code compliance. Conducting schematic, design development, and contract document work sessions onsite with the Project Manager, Architect, and other disciplines. Managing workload to ensure timely completion of documents. Tracking project finances and coordinating work efforts to stay within schedules and budgets. Collaborating with the Project Manager and Regional Controller for project reviews. Supervising and mentoring other electrical engineering professionals. Performing additional duties as needed. Preferred Qualifications Master's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical focus. Experience in healthcare and data center projects with consulting firms preferred. Interest or experience in sustainable design/LEED is desirable. Local candidates are preferred. #LI-MV3 Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Architectural Engineering with an Electrical emphasis. Minimum of 10 years' experience in electrical building design (lighting, power, systems). Professional Engineer (PE or P.Eng) license. Extensive knowledge of electrical power, lighting, signal design, life safety systems, and building management systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
