11008 Stanley Consultants is seeking an Electrical Engineer-In-Training 2, to work in our Minneapolis, MN office. What You Will Be Doing
Build electrical system modeling and analysis such as load flow, short circuit, coordination and Arc Flash studies on SKM, ETAP, or EasyPower, given one-line diagram, load list and further direction by a senior electrical engineer. Perform electrical design in accordance with the NEC, sizing electrical equipment such as conduit and conductors, panelboards, disconnects, transformers, switchboards and MCCs, with further direction to support a senior electrical engineer. Build electrical lighting models and analysis on AGI or Visual for standard indoor and outdoor lighting, and for emergency lighting with further direction to support a senior electrical engineer. Draft grounding and lightning design in accordance with NEC chapter 250, IEEE std 80 and NFPA 780 with further direction by a senior electrical engineer. Draft power plans and lighting plans with further direction by a senior electrical engineer. Willingness to go on site visits to document existing conditions of electrical systems such as panelboards, switchboards, disconnects, etc. Prepare voltage drop calculations in accordance with NEC using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet templates. Prepare panelboard schedules using Microsoft Excel spreadsheet templates. Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from an accredited engineering college. 3-5 years of experience. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Eligible to work in the United States for any length of time. Enthusiastic, self-starter with some direction, and a strong work ethic. General understanding of power systems such as 480Y/277V and 208Y/120V. General understanding of lighting systems, emergency and standard lighting. General understanding of grounding and lightning systems. Electrical Modeling: SKM/ETAP/Easypower; AutoCAD/Revit a plus Electrical lighting modeling: AGI32 or Visual. FE/EIT license or ability to obtain one; desire to obtain PE license. Salary:
$80,500 - $102,250 per year Note:
