we are currently looking to hire one person for the role of: Rohnert Park, CA, USA • Permanent contract • As soon as possible Leads Injection Molding and Automation (IM&A) team members on required tasks, work orders, and daily 5S upkeep with all IM&A processes. Performs and trains team on machine set-up, in-process production quality inspections, machine tear down, troubleshooting, maintenance, and workflow. Duties and Responsibilities
Directs production Work Order execution with prioritization from Production Manager, coordinates supporting equipment setup and line clearance operations, and team activities for equipment preventative maintenance. Participates in Production Planning meetings to provide Work Order execution status and scheduling updates. Participates hands-on in IM&A activities including work order execution, process equipment setup and shut down operations, mold/material/tooling changes, troubleshooting, equipment maintenance, and required quality assurance activities. Sustains on-going training and development of IM&A team members on all injection molding and machine automation processes, along with required quality assurance inspections to confirm production parts meet LEMO quality standards and dimensional requirements per drawings. Monitors processes at start up, production, and shut down to ensure the proper operation of injection molding and over-molding machines, automated pin insertion machines, and other IM&A work area process equipment. Collaborates with Engineering and Quality to investigate root causes of molding and secondary operation issues; helps with implementing corrective actions and process control plans. Provides input and participates in continuous improvement projects on cycle time reduction, process and machine up-time improvements, and scrap/waste reduction Follows all policies and work rules including but not limited to safety, 5S (housekeeping), Lean Manufacturing practices and quality systems Assists with new mold samples, verifies that process parameters are set per the process qualification documentation, collects and provides requested documentation of results. Other duties as assigned Physical Job description: Clearly define the conditions the job is conducted under and include the tools required to be successful, including any personnel protective equipment (PPE), and the essential physical tasks of the job. Typical Working Condition: Manufacturing shop; assembly and production environment; room temperature up to 80 degrees F. Plastics and solvent odors, protective gear is required. Equipment Used: Computer and office equipment, process tools and equipment such as calipers, scopes, gages, scales, carts, pad printer, hot stamper, assembly robots, molding machines, molds, annealing oven, hot stamper, pad printer, robotics, mechanical and motion components, ejector rods, platens, pressures, robotic arm, transmission components. Essential Physical Tasks: Capable of lifting fifty (50) lbs., standing for prolonged periods of time Qualifications:
High School diploma or G.E.D. equivalent Five (5) years of experience in plastic injection molding, cooling systems, equipment and working with high precision injection molded product manufacturing processes Ability to operate injection mold machinery in the 30-80 ton working range Experience with production scheduling Ability to document new or improved processes through work instructions, memos, and documentation updates Problem-solving and analytical skills Strong interpersonal skills, communication, organizational & teamwork skills; demonstrated ability to direct and motivate others Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities We offer
