Veterans Engineering is seeking an experienced
Medical Technologist (MT)
to provide laboratory services at the Togus VA Medical Center. This role requires proficiency in multiple laboratory disciplines, a commitment to quality and compliance, and the ability to deliver professional, patient-centered service to our nation’s veterans. Responsibilities Perform testing in chemistry, urinalysis, blood bank, hematology, coagulation, microbiology, and phlebotomy.
Operate and maintain automated and manual laboratory instruments.
Perform quality control checks and maintain compliance with CAP, HIPAA, and VA regulations.
Accurately identify patients and process specimens.
Rotate through various lab sections based on operational needs.
Document and resolve testing, processing, or reporting issues.
Provide safe, professional service to patients and staff.
Qualifications National certification as MT, MLS, or CLS (ASCP or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years of recent experience in all listed disciplines.
BLS (AHA) and ACLS (AHA) certification required.
Strong technical proficiency and fluency in English.
Ability to meet VA credentialing and privileging requirements.
Schedule Evening and Night shifts; weekend and holiday rotations required.
Must be flexible to work any shift based on laboratory needs.
