Overview

Pherson is seeking a part-time eLearning Specialist/Instructional Systems Specialist on a contract basis. The part-time contract eLearning Specialist/Instructional Systems Specialist shall develop and update curriculums, learning objectives, course materials, and job aids for in-person, virtual, and eLearning training courses. Position will be primarily remote with requirement to work on-site as needed in Springfield, VA. An active TS/SCI clearance is preferred. Key Responsibilities

Conduct training needs analysis. Work closely with Stakeholder personnel to assess performance gaps and with Subject Matter Experts to develop training that is impactful and addresses the workforce performance needs. Develop and update in-person, virtual, and eLearning course design guides, curriculum, learning objectives, course materials, and job aids. Work within various learning management systems to upload and maintain eLearning curriculum and create user development experiences. Develop criteria and methodology for evaluating effectiveness of training activities. Continuously revise training materials, course content and training aids based on evaluations of training and new or emerging capabilities/techniques or requirements to ensure course relevancy. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, eLearning Development, or other relevant adult education degree. In lieu of the stated degree, a Bachelor’s degree along with a certificate in Curriculum Development, Instructional Design, Educational Technology, eLearning Development, or other relevant adult education certificate may suffice. Minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing and developing formal workforce training programs. Understanding of adult learning theory and application of the ADDIE methodology. Experience in developing training for modalities including in-person/instructor-led, mobile training teams, virtual, eLearning, web-based training (WBT) and computer-based training (CBT); and synchronous and asynchronous distance learning programs. Experience with curriculum development tools such as Adobe Captivate, Articulate 360, Camtasia, as well as LMS platforms such as Cornerstone, Canvas, and Blackboard. Experience with developing eLearning training content in conjunction with SCORM standards. Ability to operate Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Power BI, PowerPoint and Teams) Adobe applications, audio-visual equipment including microphones, video cameras, audio video projectors, screens, pointers, and other classroom devices. Experience with applying 508 compliance standards to in-person, virtual, and eLearning curriculum. Trusted Tester Certification a plus. Experience working in various learning management systems to store and maintain eLearning curriculum. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Ability to work efficiently by prioritizing project activities/deliverables and meeting deadlines. About Pherson
