Overview

The Senior Accountant serves as the financial lead for the Louisiana Center for Bleeding & Clotting Disorders (LCBCD) within the Deming Department of Medicine at Tulane University School of Medicine. This role ensures the financial integrity of the LCBCD and its federal 340B Pharmacy Program, overseeing compliance, fund utilization, and adherence to grant guidelines. Responsibilities include: Managing the 340B revenue cycle, coordinating with third-party pharmacy billing, overseeing accounts receivable, and supporting audits. Reviewing expenditures, providing financial reporting for LCBCD clinical operations, and managing research accounts related to federal and state grants and clinical trials. Budget preparation, financial analysis, and regular reporting to the Executive Director and Executive Committee. Collaborating closely with the Executive Director, Sr. Section Administrator, and Pharmacy Manager. Qualifications

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Excellent verbal and written communication skill Strong interpersonal skills; ability to work well with others Ability to effectively supervise assigned support staff Strong financial skills; great attention to detail and demonstrated analytical problem-solving skills Excellent time management and organizational skills; ability to prioritize work assignments, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet established deadlines. Education and Experience

Required Education and/or Experience Bachelor’s Degree in accounting, business, finance, or related field Six years of directly related experience Preferred Qualifications

Master of Business Administration (MBA) Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Four or more years’ directly related experience in an educational institution or health care setting Compensation Information

This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 27.
