New Orleans, LA Summary:
This role oversees financial administration, budget management, and facilities operations to ensure the Laboratory runs efficiently. The position also supervises students/staff members and serves as a key liaison with university departments, including RASU, Accounting, Payroll, and Human Resources. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Ability to think strategically regarding financial matters. Ability to supervise employees and students. Ability to communicate effectively. Must be highly organized and self-motivated, able to work independently. Ability to monitor and assist in the preparation of a budget. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, etc. Expert in time management and flexibility with multiple demands. Ability to establish work assignment priorities and perform duties independently, without immediate or constant supervision. Ability to work in a team environment. Required Education and/or Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance At least 2 years of accounting or financial experience Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Finance and Business Administration Coursework in Accounting Working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles. Working knowledge of Tulane systems: Banner, TAMS, HCM, KRONOS, COGNOS, CONCUR, E-IT, and INTERFOLIO. Experience in an academic setting, working with students, faculty, and other members of the university community. Bilingual verbal and written communication skills in English and Spanish. This position is classified as "exempt, salaried" and is assigned to pay grade 25.
