Corporate & Support Services As a Senior Cost Accountant, you will play a key role in ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting while providing deep insights into costing, inventory, and operational performance. You will support leadership with meaningful analysis, drive efficiency through improved cost accounting processes, and help the organization make data-driven decisions to grow profitability and reduce working capital. This is a hybrid role with the expectation of 2 days/week in our Appleton or Wisconsin Rapids/Nekoosa office. This can be flexible after the training and onboarding period. What You’ll Be Doing Supporting month end close by preparing and maintaining key accounting schedules, reconciliations, and accruals Providing accurate and timely costing data on materials, labor, freight, utilities, and scrap Partnering with operations to monitor production costs, margins, and inventory, making recommendations to reduce expenses and optimize working capital Leading cost variance and standard cost analysis, including product profitability studies Acting as a systems “super user” for ERP processes related to costing and financial reporting Delivering meaningful financial and business analysis to drive EBITDA growth and improve cash flow What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 3-5 years of cost accounting or financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Proven ability to prepare accurate costing and financial reports with attention to detail Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate cross functionally with operations, sales, and finance teams Results oriented with the ability to manage deadlines in a fast paced environment We Can Offer You: Benefits are the game changer!
