Assigned to one of the following areas in the accounting organization, depending on need: cost accounting (including inventory), billings and intercompany accounting, accounts payable, government reporting, timekeeping/payroll, fixed assets. Perform assigned accounting functions using technical accounting theory and practices to accurately record company financial transactions. Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Participate in projects focused on various accounting functions. Prepare and record financial transactions and supplemental schedules as required. Prepare balance sheet account reconciliations using appropriate analytical techniques. Support financial, tax, internal and government reporting audits. Interface with management and personnel regarding the status of accounting transactions and corrective actions. Provide support to the Accounting team. Onsite work requirement: 20 hours per week. Qualifications
Currently pursuing or have completed a bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field Rising Junior or Senior pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting or closely related field Ability to analyze and interpret program financial data. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel Effective verbal and written communication; ability to work well in a team Self-starter with ability to work with minimal supervision Why Co-Op with Textron Systems?
