Key Responsibilities
Teach and mentor
medical residents and students in diverse clinical settings (clinic, hospital, and beyond).
Deliver engaging didactic instruction
through lectures, seminars, workshops, and grand rounds.
Develop and refine curriculum , contributing to continuous program improvements.
Provide comprehensive patient care , practicing full-scope family medicine, including obstetrics.
Engage in scholarly activities , faculty development, and professional service.
Additional Leadership Opportunity
The Department of Family Medicine and Community Health (DFMCH) is also seeking a
Vice Chair for Justice, Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (JEDI)
and
Josie Robinson Johnson Endowed Chair
(20% effort). This leadership role will drive strategic DEI initiatives to foster an inclusive and equitable environment across education, research, and patient care. Interested candidates can apply separately. Qualifications
Required: MD or DO degree
Completion of an ACGME-accredited Family Medicine residency
Board certification in Family Medicine
Eligibility for medical licensure in Minnesota
Preferred: Three or more years of clinical practice experience
Teaching experience in medical education
Experience in curriculum development, program evaluation, and mentoring
Engagement in scholarly activities and research

Pay Range:
This role is dually employed by the University of Minnesota and University of Minnesota Physicians. Salary at the University of Minnesota begins at $52,000. Clinical salary, aligned with clinical effort, is provided through University of Minnesota Physicians. Total salary will be in the range of $200,391 - $245,317 and will depend on taking medicine and/or OB call, years of experience, and rank. Total salary is competitive with market and based on AAMC salary benchmarks. Opportunities for additional compensation are available via the department\'s incentive pay plan.
