As a Sales Development Representative, you will lay the foundation for Intercom Sales by engaging with prospects and customers to help them understand the value of Intercom and move them forward in the sales process. As Intercom’s first point of contact you’ll play a monumental role in showcasing the Intercom brand, making a strong first impression, and building momentum for the sales team and the company. We are building a world-class sales organization and are excited to have you as part of it. We believe in the growth and development of each new hire. Engaging with potential and current customers to assess mutual fit Multi-tasking fast-paced conversations while maintaining an engaging and positive experience for Intercom’s potential customers Working closely with Account Executives to build pipeline and drive deals Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of our product and the value we provide Collaborating with cross-functional partners to continuously improve workflows Engaging in team development and mentoring What skills do I need?
Exceptional listening skills and the ability to take quick action on what you’ve learned Strong organization and time management Intellectual curiosity and problem solving Collaborative and coachable attitude Highly motivated and self-driven Bachelor’s Degree preferred 0-3 years of work experience (Sales and/or SaaS experience is a plus) Familiarity with: SFDC, Outreach, Chilipiper, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, Gong, Vidu, Google Suite Benefits and compensation

Proof of eligibility to work in the United States is required. OTF/OTE and location : The OTE salary range for candidates within the Greater Chicago Area is $69,000 - $83,000. Actual OTE pay depends on education, skills, experience, location, etc. Base pay range may change. Regular employees may be eligible for a corporate bonus program or sales incentives, as well as stock in the form of RSUs. Intercom has a hybrid working policy. We believe working in person helps with connection and collaboration while providing flexibility to work from home. Employees are expected to be in the office at least three days per week.
