Coatings Process Manufacturing Engineer

to join our team. The Manufacturing Team is responsible for rapidly iterating and building cutting-edge defense hardware, including static equipment, moving ground equipment, and flight vehicles. This responsibility includes the entire manufacturing value-chain, including design for manufacturability, tool design and selection, process creation and optimization, vendor sourcing and interaction, quality planning, and work documentation associated with the hardware that the Manufacturing Engineer owns. Coatings Process Manufacturing Engineer

with a focus on Low Observable (LO) and survivability coatings. While experience in LO or survivability coatings is preferred, it is not required. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, proactive, and skilled in process optimization to enhance manufacturing capabilities in aerospace applications. The right person for this role can demonstrate past holistic ownership on solving a technical challenge with a creative, physical solution that they either personally manufactured or oversaw manufacturing on, in a fast-paced, resource-limited environment. Develop and optimize manufacturing processes for coatings, including LO and survivability applications. Collaborate with design and engineering teams to ensure effective integration of coating processes. Utilize metrics and data analysis to identify and address systemic issues within coating processes. Apply first principles thinking to develop innovative solutions that enhance product performance. Work effectively with cross-functional teams to align on project goals and timelines. Facilitate communication between engineering, production, and quality assurance teams. Write documentation required for successfully manufacturing hardware at scale, such as work instructions, quality plans, inspection requirements, etc. Work with technicians and other engineers hands-on, building prototype hardware. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Degree in a technical field such as engineering, math, or a hard science 5+ years of experience in coatings manufacturing, preferably LO/survivability Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions Demonstrated ability to creatively deliver in a resource-constrained environment Excellent communication and collaboration skills for cross-functional teamwork A genuine interest in manufacturing and a thirst for learning Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance Ability to travel domestically/internationally, up to 25% of the time PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience with LO and survivability coatings is preferred but not required Experience physically manufacturing hardware via machining, fabrication, soldering, assembly, etc., including personal projects Currently possesses and can maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance US Salary Range $128,000 — $185,000 USD The salary range for this role is an estimate based on base salary; actual offers vary by factors including experience, education, and critical skills.
