The Cardiovascular Intensive Care Department has an exciting opportunity for a Per-diem Registered Nurse to work in U Tower. The Staff Nurse (RN) is a registered professional nurse responsible for prescribing, coordinating, evaluating, and delivering patient care through collaboration with the interdisciplinary team, in accordance with nursing standards and practices. The RN also guides patient and family education. Assess assigned patients and document nursing care plans. Report symptoms, changes in patient condition, and vital signs. Modify treatment plans based on patient responses, conditions, and physician instructions. Review, evaluate, and report diagnostic tests to assess patient status. Consult with physicians and healthcare professionals on care plans. Prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments. Consider patient age and culture during treatment and provide relevant information. Provide psychological support to nurture a compassionate environment. Perform patient tests and safely administer medications within scope of practice. Maintain accurate medication and treatment records as per policies and regulations. Communicate care plans timely to patients, families, and team members, ensuring compliance with HIPAA and other regulations. Utilize best practices for patient care transition and discharge planning. Prioritize and adjust assignments to deliver optimal care; seek assistance when needed. Adapt to changing work demands and environment. Operate medical equipment safely. Serve as a preceptor to new staff, helping them acclimate and providing direct patient care. Provide constructive feedback and adhere to institutional policies to safeguard assets. Minimum Qualifications: Education:

Graduate from an accredited nursing school; BSN preferred. RNs with an ASN have 2 years to complete their BSN. Certification and Licensing:

Valid Florida RN license, BLS/ACLS certifications required. Experience:
