The Sr. Field Engineer Technician is responsible for the installation, maintenance, repair, and technical support of hardware and software systems—primarily at customer sites. This role ensures that systems operate as intended and are maintained or upgraded per client and company requirements. The technician will handle advanced-level service activities and provide technical guidance, ensuring seamless and effective service delivery.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive field engineering support to an assigned portfolio of large and/or complex clients.
Take full ownership of on-site service tasks including system installation, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair.
Perform advanced maintenance and troubleshoot both hardware and software issues using appropriate tools and technical knowledge.
Lead or assist in low-complexity installation activities and scheduled system upgrades.
Act as a primary point of contact during field service visits, ensuring exceptional customer service and client satisfaction.
Provide detailed feedback on product/system performance and recommend improvements to internal teams.
Contribute to service quality by monitoring performance metrics and suggesting technical or procedural enhancements.
Collaborate with team members to resolve complex technical problems and support ongoing training and knowledge sharing.
Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and logs as required.
Schedule services and manage time effectively to meet service level agreements (SLAs) and customer expectations.
Required Qualifications :
High School Diploma or GED required Associate degree or technical certification preferred (e.g., CompTIA, OEM certifications) 2–4 years of relevant field service or technical support experience Experience with system hardware/software installation, troubleshooting, and preventative maintenance P referred Skills and Attributes:
Strong mechanical and/or technical aptitud Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in the field with minimal supervision Effective verbal and written communication skills Strong organizational and time management abilities Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed Ability to lift and move equipment as required (may include up to 50 lbs.)
