Talent Consultants is actively seeking multiple Defense Employment Law Attorney for job openings to join our esteemed legal team. This role is ideal for an attorney with substantial experience representing employers in various employment-related claims and disputes. This remote position centers on handling administrative charges, attorney demand letters, and employment litigation for a broad client base, including clients with Employment Practices Liability Insurance (EPLI). In this role, you will lead case strategy, oversee attorneys and support staff, and manage matters from inception to resolution, including drafting, depositions, hearings, and trials. While travel is minimal, some local appearances may be required. This position will allow you to develop innovative legal strategies while working in a collaborative and dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
Represent employer clients in all stages of employment law litigation, including discovery, motion practice, and trial.
Advise clients on best practices for compliance with federal and state employment laws.
Conduct thorough investigations into employee complaints and develop appropriate legal strategies.
Draft and review employment agreements, policies, and handbooks to mitigate legal risks.
Provide training and workshops for clients on various employment law topics.
Stay updated on changes to employment law and regulatory developments that may impact clients.
Build and maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and service.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage single-plaintiff litigation matters and administrative agency proceedings
Draft and review pleadings, legal memoranda, and client communications
Conduct depositions, represent clients at hearings, mediations, and trials
Supervise junior attorneys and support staff
Collaborate with senior attorneys and firm leadership on legal strategy
Occasionally assist with class action, PAGA, or other complex employment matters
Qualifications
JD from an ABA-accredited law school
Minimum 7+ years of employment law and litigation experience
Strong writing, analytical, and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a remote environment
Strong knowledge of employment law, including litigation and compliance
Excellent trial preparation and courtroom skills
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team
Experience at a law firm
Familiarity with EPLI-covered matters
Active bar membership in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
Admission to the California, Washington, or Arizona bar
Compensation and Benefits
Starting salary $180k up to $205k
