Sales Development Representative

at Tacton, you will be the first point of contact for prospective customers and play a key role in driving our sales pipeline. Your main responsibility will be identifying potential customers, engaging with decision-makers, and qualifying leads to ensure alignment with Tacton’s solutions for manufacturers. You’ll work closely with our marketing and sales teams to nurture and convert prospects into qualified opportunities. Key Responsibilities: Research and identify prospects in the manufacturing sector. Drive outbound outreach through calls, emails, LinkedIn, and social selling, while following up on inbound leads from marketing campaigns and events. Communicate Tacton’s CPQ value proposition to decision-makers across Sales, Manufacturing, and IT. Qualify leads and schedule discovery calls, product demos, and meetings for Account Executives, ensuring a smooth handoff with all relevant context. Build and nurture relationships with prospects through personalized outreach and targeted content (case studies, whitepapers, webinars). Partner closely with sales and marketing teams to share feedback on lead quality, optimize messaging, and refine lead-nurturing strategies. Keep detailed records of outreach and lead activity in Salesforce, tracking performance metrics such as response times and meeting set rates. Stay informed on industry trends and represent Tacton at networking events and trade shows to expand your network and generate leads. Requirements: 1-3 years of experience in sales development or lead generation, ideally in a B2B SaaS or software environment. Experience in the manufacturing sector is a plus. Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Tech, or a related field. Proficient in CRM tools like Salesforce, HubSpot, or similar platforms. Strong verbal and written communication skills, confident in engaging with C-level executives. Basic understanding of B2B sales processes and lead generation strategies. At Tacton we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $60,000-88,000.00 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors.
