Human Resource Generalist (BOND Brothers)

The HR Generalist will report into the Manager, HRBP BCU and carry out administrative work involving the human resources function and maintain related records; support policy implementation, HR programs, and procedures to improve the effectiveness of HR. Additionally, the HR Generalist will be responsible for providing support and guidance to the BCU teams in New York for HR functions including but not limited to employee relations, performance management and training. Serve as a liaison for employees and support key management initiatives. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who can effectively communicate with employees at all levels.

Core Responsibilities:

Serve as the first point of contact for employees within BCU New York

Partner on facilitation for new hire orientation in New York/New Jersey

Support activities relating to employee discipline, involuntary terminations, performance improvement plans, employee claims, investigations, and employee relations counseling under guidance of HR management

Provide functional support for BCU including employee relations; coaching, performance and talent management; employee programs; and training and development

Support day-to-day operations within the recruitment and onboarding cycle

Provide support for the Edge program and internship and co-op process

Help ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and collective bargaining agreements; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.

Help support data integrity within HRIS, utilizing reports and business feedback to provide updates

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or a related field

At least 3 years of experience in HR roles, preferably as an HR Generalist

Strong knowledge of NY craft unions (CBA’s)

Driven to achieve excellence - high standards and expectations

Highly organized and reliable

Have a proven ability to work independently with excellent judgment and follow-through

Strong knowledge of HR practices, labor laws, and regulations

Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and relationship building skills

Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality

An aptitude for proactive problem solving

Proficiency in HRIS - Experience with UKG a plus

NY Base Salary Range: $85,000-$110,000. The stated salary range applies specifically to New York City. Placement within this range depends on various factors, including but not limited to relevant years of experience, specific skills, and internal equity within the company.
