Under general direction, from the Payroll Manager or their designee, will perform a variety of duties assigned to payroll functions. This position will be responsible for reviewing and processing employee timecards/sheets, corresponding with external business partners, reviewing payroll files, and generating paychecks and other duties as assigned for multiple respite programs and office locations. Essential Duties

Develops, maintains, and enters all payroll transactions and/or data into the accounting system. Maintains accurate ongoing communication (verbal and written) with external/internal business partners (Company) and human resources. Ability to process EOR & Agency payroll in a timely and accurate manner as mandated by policy (bi-weekly); review and audit all timecards; print and distribute all pay checks; accurately maintain and process all direct deposits; follow-up and resolve all payroll issues, including late timecards; process and distribute check inserts. Edits and reviews EOR & Agency timesheets within the Respite Timekeeping System. Responsible for the completion of verification of employment and other related employment verification forms/requests. Assists with the accurate and timely payment of payroll taxes and withholdings for both federal and state. Accurately maintains and reviews respite mileage within Respite System for designated branch office(s) and processes all respite mileage checks as mandated by policy (bi-weekly). Verifies all voided checks have been accurately recorded within the accounting system. Reviews, audits, files, and processes lost checks; contacts respite worker in regard to all replacement checks. Functions appropriately with the designated respite system & any other related accounting/payroll/billing system; ensuring payroll/accounting related information is entered and maintained accurately. Continuously strives to provide excellent customer service, interpersonal communication, and serves as a source of accurate information. Secondary Duties

Assists in other administrative areas of the organization when needed. Periodically assists other departments with auditing practices. Education, Experience And Skills Required

High school graduate or equivalent (GED) plus post-secondary education in accounting, business administration, or related fields of study. Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English and Spanish. Ability to type 30 wpm and do basic business arithmetic. Working experience and knowledge of bookkeeping and/or accounting principles (2-3 years). Practical applications of MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS PowerPoint, and MS Word for Windows required. Ability to use standard office machines such as a personal computer, calculator, copier, fax machine, telephone, etc. Valid California Driver's License. Physical Requirements

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to read, write, and comprehend complex issues. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. Working Conditions

Office-based environment; remote or hybrid work may be considered. Standard business hours: occasional extended hours as needed. Occasional travel for training or meetings. Inland Respite is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
