Talent Acquisition Specialist (Drayage/Logistics)
Leading drayage company is seeking a driven and strategic Talent Acquisition Specialist with industry experience for a hybrid position located in Manhattan, New York. This role involves identifying, attracting, and hiring top talent across multiple departments, while working closely with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and deliver a smooth, end-to-end candidate experience. MUST BE LOCATED IN COMMUTABLE DISTANCE TO MANHATTAN.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Collaborate with hiring managers to identify staffing requirements and create successful recruitment plans.
Support the onboarding process, including training and ensuring a smooth first-day experience for new employees.
Help leadership monitor key performance indicators for new hires and contribute to the execution of new business projects.
Actively search for candidates across platforms such as LinkedIn, job boards, and social media.
Conduct candidate interviews, evaluate qualifications, and provide hiring managers with curated shortlists.
Oversee the entire recruitment process while ensuring a positive experience for all applicants.
Keep accurate records of applicant information using internal tracking systems.
Contribute to employer branding efforts and participate in job fairs and career-related events.
Stay up to date with recruiting trends and industry best practices.
Requirements:
Must be located on the East Coast.
3–5 years of experience in drayage, transportation, or logistics required.
Bachelor's degree preferred; minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Proven ability to follow up effectively and guide hiring managers through the recruitment process.
Collaborative team player with a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
