Tulane University
As a member of an agile Development Team, the Developer IV develops application solutions for Tulane University with a primary focus on student information and learning management systems and system interfaces.
Responsibilities include developing and implementing large-scale database applications using standard-based methodologies and tools; researching, designing, developing, configuring, integrating, testing and maintaining new and existing applications, including databases, reports, web applications, mobile applications, interfaces, and 3rd party integrations. The position also gathers business requirements, writes code, writes documentation, performs testing and maintenance while adhering to agile development principles; and provides support and mentoring to other members of the Development Team.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Excellent written and verbal communications skills with ability to communicate verbally and in writing with both non-technical end-users and technical staff. A solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures. Ability to perform as a member of an Agile development team. Demonstrated commitment to customer service. Ability to quickly learn and easily adapt to new technologies. Highly proficient organizational and time management skills; ability to multi-task and adjust to rapidly changing priorities in order to address/resolve the most critical/sensitive issues in a timely manner. Excellent working knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL. Required Education and/or Experience
