Job Description: SUNY Polytechnic Institute's College of Engineering, Department of Civil and Mechanical Engineering, invites applications for a full-time tenure-track Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Full Professor of Biomedical Engineering. The successful applicant will support the ABET-accredited B.S. degree program and contribute to the growth of graduate programs in Biomedical Engineering. The department is expanding rapidly, with new master's programs underway and a Ph.D. program in development within the next two years, providing opportunities to shape graduate education. The position offers a chance to contribute to a young, vibrant, fast-growing department with opportunities for collaboration across the four Pillar areas: Healthcare & Wellbeing; Materials, Robotics & Advanced Manufacturing; AI and Information Technology; and Smart Infrastructure and Sustainability. Responsibilities

Demonstrate a commitment to excellent teaching in biomedical engineering and lower-division engineering sciences; manage all aspects of courses including grading and assessment. Develop an externally funded scholarly research program in biomedical engineering involving graduate and undergraduate students; collaborations with academic, industry, or government labs are encouraged. advise undergraduate students and assist with student club activities. Work with engineering faculty to maintain ABET accreditation. Engage in outreach to the College and community. During the first two years, a reduced teaching load (two classes per semester) is anticipated to establish a research program and develop courses. Contribute to the assessment and development of engineering courses and participate in university service and committees. Other reasonable duties as assigned. Qualifications

Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering or a related field with a specialty in Biomedical Engineering from an accredited institution; a record of outstanding academic and scholarly achievements. Preferred Qualifications

Postdoctoral experience with proven scholarship Salary

Salary Range: Assistant Professor $90,000–$100,000; Associate Professor $100,000–$110,000; Full Professor $110,000+ Application Instructions
