Description Front of House Manager The Front of House Manager is responsible for providing excellent customer service to the patrons and renters of the Dairy by anticipating needs, solving problems and maintaining a positive, friendly attitude in any situation. The Front of House Manager supervises the part-time staff consisting of all part-time Box Office, Cinema, Concessions, House Management and Special Events staff. The Front of House Manager is considered a member of the patron services team, directly supervising part time staff, working actively in the front of the house in the evenings either in a support role or filling shifts as needed. This position reports to the Client Relations Manager and supports all front of house activities. This position works closely with the Dairy’s leadership team and supports all events, adhering to other departments budget needs. Employment Type: Full-Time Exempt; 40 hours per week, Wed-Sun; 2PM-close ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Recruit and hire patron services staff Develop training practices and standards and execute consistent training for patron services staff Directly supervise and serve as the lead contact for patron services staff Knowledgeable about upcoming events and on-going operations in relation to front of house expectations and communicates specific needs to patron services staff Foster positive relationships, clear channels of communication and engagement opportunities between patron services staff members and all Dairy Arts Center constituents Consistently provide friendly guest service and hospitality to Dairy Arts Center patrons, clients, artists, and supporters Act as a point of contact for event volunteers Verify coverage for all open shifts and fill in as needed Remains on the floor to direct staff during busiest times and supports patron services staff and the last staff member on site during performance nights Initiates disciplinary action when necessary Create schedule for all patron services staff according to the requirements of each performance and event Attend pre-production meetings with clients Create and distribute ‘Sage Page ’containing specific event related information to house managers for each event Create end of shift reports to share with leadership staff Must understand and be in compliance with applicable state and city food and liquor laws and Health Department regulations Maintain and tracks monthly inventory and places regular orders for product Manage special event requests Maintain and manage positive client, vendor and patron relationships Maintain safety and cleanliness standards Assist in other tasks as assigned by Client Relations Manager KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS

Minimum 3 years of experience managing 10 or more staff in the hospitality industry Previous experience with CRM, POS, and ticketing software Basic knowledge of Google Workspace Comfortable learning job related skills primarily through observation and on-the-job training Motivated to anticipate the needs of renters and patrons Able to perform under pressure and maintain good public relations etiquette Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Team player is a must! Ability to give clear instructions, prioritizes tasks, and solves problems with minimal supervision. CPR, First Aid and AED certifications are a plus TIPS Training required (provided by organization) Must display a commitment to the Dairy’s mission and standard of excellence Appreciation for performing, cinematic, musical, and visual arts PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

This is a full time salaried position averaging 40 hours per week starting at $56,485 including paid holidays, PTO; health, dental and vision benefits; eligible for 401(k) 60 days after employment, Voluntary Guardian Benefits, IDShield and LegalShield, 3 weeks of PTO for first year of employment, employer sponsored life insurance and a 50% discount on Dairy Arts Center products/services.
